Terms and Conditions

Customers ordering goods on-line agree and accept the following terms and conditions.

*Free delivery for orders over £149.99.

Customers wishing to return goods under the Distance Selling Regulations, must inform us in writing within 14 working days from receipt of the goods. The returned goods must be unused, in their original undamaged packaging and the goods must be returned within 21 days from the original date of delivery. The Customer is responsible and liable for the goods until they are returned to our premises and the Customer is also liable for the supply and return carriage costs. If you request us to collect the goods, these costs will be charged to the Customer’s account. Carriage costs for sending goods out are non refundable.

Cartography charts that are programmed, are classed as supplied to the customer’s specification and cannot be cancelled once programmed, or returned, this also applies to all other software products and products made to order. All Compact Flash (CF) charts are programmed to order.

For equipment developing a fault within 14 days of delivery, the Customer shall inform us in writing within 14 working days; the equipment will be tested upon return and in the case of faulty goods the Company will offer to refund the cost of the goods or to replace with new equipment. If the equipment is found to be in full working order the goods may be returned to the Customer or, at the Company’s option, the Customer may cancel the goods subject to a cancellation fee of 20% of the original cost of goods.

For refunds not covered under distance selling or sale of goods act, we reserve the right to deduct payment fees incurred in processing your payment.

For orders delivered outside Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) there maybe local taxes and/or charges that you are liable for. These may be levied by the carrier delivering the order and we are not liable for these, it is your responsibility to check with your in country customs to see what these may be. For any orders returned to us we reserve the right to deduct any costs associated with sending and receiving the order back.

The Customer agrees that the delivery of goods by the Carriers does not form part of any contract, the Company will monitor the Carrier’s performance, and there may be a number of occasions when due to circumstances beyond our control, the goods may not arrive by the requested time. On being informed of this, the Company will take action with the carrier to ensure delivery is made as soon as possible. We endeavour to make deliveries within 14 days (excluding Saturday, Sunday and or bank/public holidays) and no later than 30. If you have an urgent order it is always advisable to discuss your requirement on the telephone, 0131 331 4546. If delivery can not be made within 30 days, we will inform you of this.

On receipt of the goods, if the outer packing of the delivery parcel is damaged, you must write on the carriers receipt “damaged” failure to do this may result in failure to prove damage occurred during transit, and to inform us in writing within 5 working days.

Risk in the goods shall pass to the Customer upon delivery to their nominated address. However, all goods remain the property of the Company until payment is received in full. We reserve the right to recover any goods which have not been paid in full and additionally all costs incurred in the recovery of these goods.

For items collected from our shop, long distance selling rules do not apply and payment will need to be made when the goods are collected, even if you have entered payment information at the time of order.

Liability, in any event, the Company is not liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss, costs or penalties, including loss of profit or revenue, incurred or suffered by the customer as a result of our inability or failure for any reason, to meet an estimated or specified delivery or completion date. The Company’s liability (if any) shall be limited to the cost of goods supplied.

The Customer agrees that Equipment warranty is subject to the manufacturer’s or distributor’s Terms and Conditions and that carriage may be charged to the customer at cost for equipment handled under warranty by the Company. If an extended warranty is offered, this is direct with the supplier/manufacturer and subject to their terms and conditions.

The Company is not responsible for the content or accuracy of information on linked internet sites.

Data & Privacy: The information provided at the time of your order will be stored in our database and used to carry out your instructions and action payment.

Law and Jurisdiction: These Terms and Conditions and any contract to which they apply are governed by and interpreted under the Law of Scotland, and you agree that such contract will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Scottish Courts and Law.

We take great care to ensure all manufacturer information is correct at the time of publishing on our website, however, due to the manufacturer’s policy to continually improve or change their product specifications we cannot be held liable for any such changes.

Your statutory rights under the current consumer protection laws are not affected.

Although you receive an acknowledgement detailing goods and prices, in the rare occurrence of a price change or error, we shall inform you and will cancel your order. Orders are only deemed to have been accepted once the goods have been delivered and signed for by the card holder on whose card payment was made, for transfer payments, this will be the author of the payment. We reserve the right to cancel an order up to the point of delivery.

All information on this site is subject to change without notice, this includes prices and changes to these terms and conditions. Prices are in £ Sterling (GBP) and include VAT at 20%. Prices are for online purchases only.
